THE KING LOCAL GUIDE · DECEMBER 2026
Art by day. Your kind of night.
Planning a December 2026 trip to Miami? Start with the art calendar: Art Miami on the downtown waterfront and Art Basel in Miami Beach, then leave room for a later-month music outing in North Bay Village. Your best plan starts with choosing which side of the bay you want to explore.
This is our advance selection for December, with announced dates you can plan around now. We’ll add weekend editions and holiday picks as details are confirmed, keeping earlier selections available on this same page.

Dates worth planning around
Three announced plans to start your December calendar. Follow each organizer’s link for the latest program and admission details.
December 1–6, 2026 · Downtown Miami
Art Miami
One Herald Plaza · Public opening December 1 at 4 p.m.
Start your art itinerary on the downtown waterfront. Art Miami’s public schedule begins Tuesday, December 1 at 4 p.m. and continues through Sunday, December 6. The earlier Tuesday previews have separate access requirements.
The practical bit: Check the day’s opening hours and ticket terms. Art Miami and Art Basel are separate fairs; choose admission for the event you intend to visit.
December 4–6, 2026 · Miami Beach
Art Basel Miami Beach
Public days: Friday–Sunday
If Art Basel is your reason for coming to Miami, put its public days in your calendar first. The 2026 public show runs December 4–6; the preceding VIP days follow different access rules.
The practical bit: Miami Art Week includes events from many organizers. A fair ticket does not automatically include the other fairs or parties around town.
Saturday, December 19, 2026 · North Bay Village
Nelly at Palm Tree Club
Event listed from 4 p.m. · 1819 79th Street Causeway
December does not end with the art fairs. Palm Tree Club lists Nelly for Saturday, December 19, adding a waterfront music date for visitors arriving later in the month.
The practical bit: The venue lists a 4 p.m. event start, not a confirmed performance time. Check the ticket page for current entry conditions and availability.
Make the dates work for your trip
Build art days around location. Art Miami is on the downtown waterfront; Art Basel is in Miami Beach. As a planning choice, group nearby stops and leave room for the trip across the bay.
Check public days before booking. Art Miami begins public entry on December 1 in the afternoon. Art Basel’s public dates begin December 4. Preview access follows separate rules.
Coming for Christmas or New Year’s Eve? We’ll add specific holiday plans once their details are confirmed. This first selection does not yet list Christmas or December 31 parties.
